Remains of the eastern wall of Minya Palace. Minya Palace is one of the five Umayyad palaces known as “the desert palaces”: Al-Mafjar (Hisham Palace) north of Jericho, Al-Mshatta (or “At-Tuba) south of Amman in Jordan, Al-Hir Al-Sharqi and Al-Hir Al-Sharqi and Al-Hir Al-Gharbi in Al-Rasafa in Syria, and Minya near Lake Tiberias in northern Palestine.
