The southern façade of Ijzim’s school. Most likely, the history of Ijzim dates back to the Crusader period when Muslim troops came to Palestine to fight against the invaders; it was mentioned by this name in the mid-Twelfth Century A.D. The name is probably Arabic, meaning resolute and determination. However, Ijzim is built near a little hill full of Roman and Canaanite ruins.
